Robert J. "Bob" Jardine

Jardine, Robert J. "Bob" LATHAM Robert J. Jardine "Bob," 82 of Latham, passed away at his home on May 25, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Robert, the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Whalen) Jardine, was born in Cambridge, Mass. on December 24, 1938. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Before enjoying his retirement, he worked for many years as a manager for many grocery stores and pharmacies in the greater capital area. Bob was a very talented wood carving artist who created beautiful birds. His passion became creating eagles, cardinals and hummingbirds, which are displayed in the homes of his wife and daughters. He was also a skilled dancer and enjoyed jitterbugging with his wife, Terri, at many weddings. He could tell marvelous stories and enjoyed talking with friends, family and neighbors. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved cheering his grandkids on from the sidelines and supporting them in every way. Robert is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Theresa (Terri DeLessio) Jardine; his two daughters, Michelle (Dave) of Virginia and Krista (Steve) of Voorheesville; his three grandchildren, Josette (Virginia), Connor and Molly (Voorheesville) who will miss their "Papa" dearly; his brother, John (Cecil) and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY, 12205 who helped to care for Bob over the last few weeks.
