Robert Stewart Obituary

Stewart, Robert "Bob" QUEENSBURY Robert "Bob" Stewart passed away on February 13, 2015. He was born on July 8, 1946 to the late Robert and Phyllis Stewart of Rensselaer. He lived most of his life in Rensselaer, but later moved to Queensbury. Bob retired for Bay State Elevators after 37 years of service. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob loved to play golf with his buddies and was a member of the Highland Golf Course. He also enjoyed watching his teams the NY Giants and NY Yankees. Loving husband of 28 years to Geralyn (Geri Cirilli) Stewart. Proud father of Keith and Natalie Stewart. "Twin" brother to June (Pete) Danner. Son-in-law to Janice and the late Fred Cirilli. Brother-in-law to James (Shannon) Cirilli, Michael (Gina) Cirilli and Christine Cirilli. Also survived by grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service with military honors will be held at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, on Saturday, February 21, at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bob's name may be made to High Peaks Hospice, 667 Bay Rd. Ste 1A, Queensbury, NY 12804. A college fund has also been set up for Bob's daughter Natalie, contributions may be made in his memory to Geralyn Stewart c/o Hudson River Community Credit Union, 160 Broad St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
