Spencer O'Brien Obituary
NASSAU - Spencer H. O'Brien, 86 of Nassau, passed away on January 23, 2023, at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush.
Born in Rochester, he was the son of the late Arthur and Florence O'Brien. Spencer was a Marine Corps veteran having honorably served his country. He was a member of and was very active in the American Legion Post 1236 in New Lebanon. Spencer retired from the New York State Troopers while serving on the Governor's detail, a job he very much enjoyed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen O'Brien; son, Michael O'Brien; and his beloved cats, Earl and Tucker.
Per Spencer's wishes, there will be no services.

Spence was a NY State Trooper that had a huge, positive, impact on (then) kids in the town of New Lebanon. I have the utmost respect for this man. Rest with the angels Spence.

Spencer was a great guy and guided me through tough times between sixteen & twenty one! He was also inspiring helping me get my head on straight when I found out I had to deal with cancer!
