To the Warren family,

I am saddened about the news of Curtis.

Mrs. Warren was always the classroom mother at Rufus E. Payne Elementary. She would volunteer her services to our class. I think she was the first person to introduce me to cupcakes.

Curtis was my buddy. We could make anyone laugh.

Recently, I gave my 4th grade students an assignment. The assignment had to include a news article. I was stunned when I saw an obituary for Curtis. I had to sit down and compose myself because of disbelief. I went to Rufus E. Payne, Lake Lucina, and back to Payne with Curtis, Michelle and Kathy. I rode bus 337 and they rode bus 336. He later went to Ribault and I went to Raines. Those were the days when families mingled and became extended families.

May God comfort your hearts

I have truly lost a good friend and brother. Curtis and I go back to grade school days when we would wrestle all the time. We promised to be blood brothers for life. We continued our friendship even though we did not talk or see each other on a weekly basis. When we did talk we would always talk about our twins that we both had. Your smile and your encourging words will never be forgot my blood brother.

To the Warren Family-

May the LORD wrap you in his arms during your time of sorrow. Curtis (thirty thirty) as we called you coming up..:-)) My mind is heavy with grief but my heart is filled with joy of the memories and laughs that we shared from our youth to adulthood. I know that you are smiling down on us thinking of a quick joke you can tell us to make us all laugh as you always did. Man, I miss you and will continue to stop by when I'm in town. May our LORD keep you.

Carlota,

I'm so sorry for the lost of Curtis. I learned it today from a former Co-worker (Ms. Angela Senior). He was one of the greatest people i've ever known. The last time I seen Curtis he gave me words of encouragement. "Just do you and that's all you can do." He loved those kids with everything in him. And while working at the Child Development Center He always had a smile on his face picking up the twins in the afternoon late or not. He made me smile no matter what, even if I was ready to go home and it was 6:30. He would still stand at the front desk and hold his usual afternoon conversation with me. He was loved for GOD is Love. I'll be praying that God hold you and keep you through this difficult time. He was a great man, not just a friend. Once again i'm so sorry about you lost. (This is from Ms. April the old receptionist from the Daycare(Bright Horizons) that Asia and Amir attended.)

Curtis was and is one of the brightest spots in the Ribault Sr High class of 1981. Who didn't laugh in his presence; who could think of Him and not smile. I truly loved Curtis!

I remember the last time I saw Curtis he had ALL of his kids in one of those racing car shopping carts shopping at Winn Dixie... I teased him about how that was a sight and how much we had matured... Curtis and Mike used to rank on folks in school and run behind me to protect them and I always did. I told him I would stop by his apartment before I relocated to Valdosta. But you know how we put things off. I never got that chance to sit and chat with him as I promised and regret it. So, I can say from experience never put off tomorrow what you can do today. God bless Curtis' family and may he give you all the strength to go on. Peace be unto you all.

My prayers are with you! It was years back I met curt over to charlene's house he seemed like a real nice guy, and then that time he rented the limo for char's birthday for us to all go out, You know people like him are few. He made people laugh and feel comfortable around him, he was a genuine person and for that he will always be remembered. Keep your head up and know that god is and was

in control no matter how the devil tried to step in. Be strong for the twins they need your strength now. And don't be a stranger, we are all here for you.

It's times like these that our yesterdays become crystal clear. Growing up with Curtis at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, I can't help but remember sitting in the back while our parents constantly reminded a group of us to stop joking around. As adults, those same sermons our parents thought we missed continued to sustain us.

Proverbs 22:6:"Train up a child the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it." To the Warren family, my prayers are with you to rely on God's strength during this time. Curt's still smiling and his Soul is at Peace.

Can't you see, the signs of the times, Don't you know that the time is short and soon the LORD, He will return, will you be punished or get your reward, There will be no more time, to get it right when the LORD, When he cracks the sky, so just keep your hand in his hands, and be ready, when Jesus come, won't you be ready, when Jesus come, We got to be ready, When our saviour comes, Get your house, get it in order, in your life, make Jesus first, Keep your lamp, trimmed and burning bright, make a stand, Stand uo for what you know is right, make Jesus, first in your life, And be ready, when Jesus comes.

May you find the strength and the peace you need in Jesus.

To the family of Curtis Warren Jr,

My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I knew Curt for about seven

years. He was always so upbeat and

positive, and such a joy to be around. We lifted together in many powerlifting training sessions and competitions over the years.Curt made friends all over the country through the sport he loved. He was an outstanding lifter and person, always asking myself and others about our lifts not talking about his own. Curt cared about his friends and everybody loved him for it.

Curt you will always be in my memory, the good times we had, the laughs, the tough training sessions, the brotherhood. Ill see you again someday in heaven.

Kurt,

I've only known you a short time but those times were great. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet a great man. When Patrick called me, I was speechless and couldn't believe it. You will be truly missed my brother. Thanks for the gym workouts and laughs! My prayers go out to your family.

Curt, who do I call now when I need advice on something? Man I'm having a hard time holding back these tears. By now I should be all cried out. Man there's not enough lines in this guest book for me to explain what you meant to me throughout my entire life. Thanks for always being there. Spike

To the family of Curtis,

My journey with Curtis began back in high school, where he was this ball of energy, always getting into something, making someone laugh, just full of life.......

This however, is not the end, for we all shall see Curtis again one day. There are no words that I can expres to you that will bring ease to your pain at this time, but KNOW that Curtis was loved by many and that our Father is surrounding each of you in a blanket of comfort and support at this time and he's asking that you rest in his assurance that all will be well.

In the memory of Curtis, God bless and keep you in this time and always,

Sheryl (Williams)-Bell & Family,

Ribault Senior High, Class of 81

Curtis, it was only 2 Sunday's ago that we were laughing and talking about old times. We never know how long we will be here, we just hope to be here for a long time. You will be missed my brother and never forgotten. I know you'll smile down on us until we see you again.
