Dear Maureen and Family,
Words really cannot express how deeply saddened I am am over your father's passing. I want to call you personally but everytime I try I break down in tears and don't think it's fair to call you while balling my eyes out so please know that I love you and your family and wish you all peace during your time of grief. Your dad was a wonderful man. I wish I could have had a father as amazing as he was to all of you. Give your mom a big hug for me. I'm sorry I missed the memorial but I will be in touch soon.
Love always, April S. Grycner

Dear McGowan Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Although I have followed his life mostly from afar, I would like you to know how truly inspirational I found him to be. Particularly inspiring to me is his his decision, with Eileen, to pursue, at mid-life and with a large family depending on them, a California dream for their family. Now that I am also a parent at mid-life, I can well appreciate the enormity of that life-change and am awed by his example of flexibility and willingness to change to seek happiness for himself and his loved ones.
With sympathy,
Michele Marroso Meyer (Frank's and Eileen's Goddaughter)

To Aunt Eileen and all my cousins: I am so sorry for the loss of your father and my uncle. I remember when I was a little girl Uncle Frank would visit us and recite the "Jabberwocky" for me over and over. He was a wonderful influence on me in my childhood. Although it has been a few years since I've seen Frank, I remember him lovingly. .
