I am so inspired by those who have written well about my uncle. It truly was a great family life, reflecting on the times shared, with my uncle and his family/all the family/extended family. I miss him and think of him often. I feel blessed to have known him. Surely, onward, his legacy will be carried, by my cousins, Tanya and Regina. I believe they, also, have the love, strength, and knowledge to pass it on.

There's a special kind of closeness that only family knows that begins with childhood trust and deepens as you go along. "And sometimes we fight like cats and dogs but that's a family matter. Nobody else gets in our damn business", Joan says with a smile.
There's a special kind of happiness in sharing the little things: the laughter, the smiles and the quiet talks that daily living brings. "There's nothing or anyone with the name Fields that's 'quiet'. They are all big-mouthed and loud as hell", Joan says with a big laugh and a huge smile.
There's a special kind of comfort in knowing that your family is there to back you up, cheer you up, to understand and care for you. "They will fight anyone anywhere for one another, that's for sure. They truly care", Joan says with a fond smile.
Of all the treasures that life may bring, your family means the most and whether near or far, their love will hold you close. "The only thing closer than the love of family is the love of Jesus Christ so hold tight to what you've got and never let go. Remember that we are all part of one loving family. Keep smiling!"
Love for each of you,

Dad you led by example and truly were the protector and keeper of our family. I have known you as the beloved father and comedian, advisor, companion and friend. This truly is a loss of no comparison, and you will be missed dearly, for all the confidence, protection, and undying love that you provided. But I trust in Mom as I trust in you that Tanya and I will forge ahead and fulfill the legacy that you two began. Your life went full circle which provided a hands on experience of how life should be lived to the fullest. We now have the knowledge, the strength and the courage to live on and fulfill the dream of our family. Rest in peace with the contentment of a job well done in life, and the excitement of being reunited with your loved ones that predeceased you.

Condolences to my Big Brother, Trusted Friend, and Confidante. He was magnanimous with a warm and friendly personality. He was a joy to those he came in contact with. He had an abiding love for family and friends alike. He will be sorely missed! God rest his soul.

The epitome of a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. My idol. My hero, A life well lived. Truly, a positive, motivating force in the lives of countless individuals.
