Jewel and I came along way since I first took her baby boy at age 18 and made him a father. We had some rough times at first but grew closer and closer through the years. I was so young and had so much to learn. She taught me so much about life and what was really important.I never saw her mad for more than 5 minutes in the 23 years that I have known her. She spoke her peace and moved on. One of her famous sayings were "Oh Well".If only we all could be like that. I love you Granny and thank you for helping to raise me and my two daughters. We are all better people for having been a part of your life.

Dear Tina, Lisa and John,
You have our deepest sympathy. It's been many years since we have seen each other, but you have not been far from our thoughts. My sister Brenda and I remember often how much fun we had in the old neighborhood growing up with ya'll! My memories even go back as far as you all living on 16th Street and when we would take Ms. Turner's bus to Skateland.
I pray you are all holding up ok and know that your Mom is in a much better place. She is watching down over you all now and you can always talk to her when you are in a quiet and alone place. She will come to you in dreams and in wonderful memories of times past, and you will hold her close in your heart always. She was a beautiful Lady and was always good to us.
When your Mom's funeral and all are over, I sincerely hope you will email me and let's stay in touch. We miss you guys. I'm in Tampa and Brenda is still in Jacksonville.
Again, you are all in our prayers.

She never met a stranger and taught us it never hurt to throw away a howdy. She loved anyone and everyone and passed on this patience and kindness to us (her grandchildren.)We never knew what she would say or do next. She kept you on your toes and laughing all the time. She will be forever missed, but we have all these great memories to carry with us.
I love you granny and miss you. I will see you on the other side!
