ADAMS Tom Adams, 89, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was killed in an automobile accident on Monday, May 22, 2006. Mr. Adams served as an outstanding member of the Florida State Senate and in the Florida Cabinet as Secretary of State and Lt. Governor. His elected service to the state spanned three decades. In recent years Adams committed his time to agricultural activities and local community service. Mr. Adams is survived by his five daughters, Carolyn Adams Gilbert (Roy) of Palm Coast, FL, Augusta Adams Bird and Frances Lee Adams, of Chapel Hill, NC, Susan Parker Adams, of Fellsmere, FL, and Sarah Moulton Adams of Sherman Oaks, CA; his son, Thomas Burton Adams III of Fellsmere, FL; his grandchildren, Callie DeHaven of Tallahassee, FL and Abigail Bird Donovan of Austin, TX; and his great-grandchildren, Taylor Lee Hardee of Tallahassee, FL and Clara Elise Donovan of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his former wives Helen Frances Brown Adams of St. Augustine, andFran B. Adams of Fellsmere, FL. Last respects can be paid from1-5 PM on Friday, May 26, 2006 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958. Funeral Services will be held at Sebastian River High School's Performing Arts Theater at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2006. The school is 3 miles east of I-95 at exit 156 in Sebastian, FL. A Memorial will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in the Senate Chamber, 4th Floor, the Capital in Tallahassee, FL. It is the family's wish that in his memory and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "NJROTC Building Fund" in memory of Tom Adams at Sebastian River High School, 9001 Shark Blvd, Sebastian, FL 32948 and gifts may be made to the University of Florida Foundation, care of the Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences (IFAS) development office, 1001 McCarty Hall D, P.
