Bruce Green Obituary
Bruce "Dewey" Green, 66, of Center Street, Jim Thorpe, died on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 in his home in the presence of his family.
Born in El Paso, TX, he was a son of the late Herman and Lois (Heckman) Green.
He was a graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown.
He was the maintenance/environmental services coordinator at Maple Shade Meadows Senior Living, Nesquehoning, and was also a longtime river guide on the Lehigh River with Pocono Whitewater River Rafting.
Bruce loved fishing, fly tying, hunting, boating, stock car racing, riding motorcycle and his family.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathrine Green of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren, Lillian Davies and Kane Pickell; a brother, Kevin Green of Jim Thorpe; a sister, Julie Ahn of Tamaqua; half-brothers, Kaylon Green of Fort Pierce, FL, and Bryant Green of Belchertown, MA; and nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by a brother, Barry Green.
Service: Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, Mauch Chunk Lake Park, Koch Pavilion. Arrangements by Melber Funeral Home, Jim Thorpe. In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with unpaid medical bills can be sent in c/o Cathrine Green, 913 Center St., Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.

I am so saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. I always thought I'd get to see him again on one of my return trips to PA. Will always think of Bruce as one of those special friends who is more like family. Happy trails dear friend. Till we meet again.

Bruce was a long time customer of mine when I had dolls place. I then meet up with him at Maple shade Meadows when I placed my Aunt there. He was a God send. My Aunt was in love with him. He was so sweet to watch after her. She always had to kiss him when he did something for her. So sorry for the family's loss. He will be missed.
