Daniel Lighting Obituary
Daniel Michael Lighting, 74, of Slatedale, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital – Bethlehem campus.
Born in Allentown on Aug. 30, 1951, Daniel was the son of the late Daniel L. and Eileen Rose (McAndrew) Lighting.
He was employed at Advanced Auto Parts Distribution Center in Fogelsville for 10 years before retiring. Prior to that, he was a supervisor at Dorr-Oliver Inc. in Hazleton, formerly of Fogelsville, for 25 years.
Survivors: son, Michael A. Lighting and his wife, Kim, of Slatington; companion, Karen Schaffer with whom he resided; siblings, Joe Lighting and his wife, Hazel, of Lehighton, John Lighting of Allentown, Susan Hebron of Whitehall; and grandsons, Ryan, Jeremy and Ronald.
He was also predeceased by a son, Ronald Lighting.
