Mrs. Doris J. Schaeffer, 82, of Lehighton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton, where she was the acolyte trainer and assignor for 14 years.
Doris loved the outdoors. She was an avid skier, hiker and biker, doing several treks over 50 miles. She also enjoyed attending Bach at Noon at the Moravian Church, Bethlehem, with the ladies of Lehighton and her grandchildren.
Doris most of all loved spending time with her family; family vacations to Wildwood Crest, Myrtle Beach and Disney, ski trips to Vermont, the annual Easter Egg painting and hunt, Thanksgiving, Christmas, taking the grandchildren Christmas shopping, biking and hiking and taking the granddaughters to New York City.
