Marie Annette White

Marie Annette White, 82, of Deer Lane, Towa- mensing Township, Lehighton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at Exton Senior Living, Exton, PA. She was the widow of George R. White Jr., with whom she shared 56 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2023.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Marian V. (Hamm) Christman.

She was a 1962 graduate of Palmerton Area High School.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Big Creek.

She was a member of the Big Creek Grange.

Marie enjoyed crafts and sewing and was well-known for her delicious baked goods.

Surviving are er son, George R. White III, and wife, Jennifer Barber, of West Chester; a brother, Mahlon Christman, and wife, Sandra, of Towamensing Township; grandchildren, Owen and Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, with the Rev. Eunice Hearn officiating. Following the service, interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Big Creek. Viewing 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be sent to her church.
