Martin George Obituary

Martin Paul George

Martin

Paul George, 69, of Kunkletown, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, with his daughter, Staci Gower, and cardiac team at his side.

Born on June 11, 1955, in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Clark H. George and Janet (Horn) George.

He was a 1973 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and Lincoln Tech's welding program. He had his own welding business in Kresgeville for several years. He later sold his business and become a full-time welder for the H & K Group.

Martin loved his cabin in Bradford County, where he went to hunt, drive four wheelers and celebrate long holiday weekends with family; taking his Chevy Corvette to local car shows; gardening; watching NASCAR races; and watching the Philadelphia Phillies play.

Surviving are a daughter, Staci, and her husband, Matt, and their children, Molly and Jaxon; his older sister, Mariann Smith-Disney, and her husband, Mick; his companion dog, Betsy; a niece, Meredith Reinhart; nephews, Matt Frable and Eric Frable, and their families; and his ex-wife and friend, Carla George.

Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Richard Rufenacht officiating. Burial and luncheon will follow at Middlecreek Cemetery and Middlecreek Christian Church, 343 Dorshimer Rd., Kunkletown. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martin's honor to Middlecreek Christian Church, 343 Dorshimer Rd., Kunkletown, PA 18058, or to the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Carla & Stacey. I´m sorry for your loss. Way too early. I loved Marty since high school, skipping class and hanging out with Marty in the print shop. We had some good times. Rest in peace my friend!
