Mary Ellen Costenbader
Mary Ellen (Eisenhard) Costenbader, 77, of Costenbader Lane, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, died suddenly Tuesday morning, Jan. 26, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Gnaden Huetten Memorial Campus, Lehighton. She was the wife of Laird K. Costenbader since May 14, 1966.
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Mahlon and Martha (Erschen) Eisenhard.
Mary Ellen was employed by the former Mary Immaculate Seminary, Lehigh Township, as supervisor in the housekeeping department.
She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.
A 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School, she later graduated from the former St. Mary's Nursing School, Philadelphia, as an LPN.
Mary Ellen enjoyed camping, country western dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors: Husband; son, Keith L., and companion Valerie Green, of Palmerton; three grandchildren, Kristyn, Reilly, and Logan; sisters, Sheila, wife of Patrick Klement, of North Whitehall Township, and Madeline Mott of FL; brothers, Richard, and wife Sue, of FL, and Bernie of Wind Gap; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Louis.
