Sherry Johnson Obituary
Sherry Ann Johnson, 51, of Pohopoco Drive, Kunkletown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was employed for 24 years at Thermo Fisher Pharmaceutical Co., Allentown, working as a senior project man-
ager.
Born in Leh-ighton, she was a daugh-ter of Constance M. (Berger) Johnson of Easton and the late Alton Johnson Jr.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton.
She was a 1988 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and Carbon County Vo-Tech School, Cosmetology.
In her spare time, she enjoyed coaching cheerleading for the Lehighton Area Booster Club.
Sherry loved spending time with and taking care of her family. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and Nana.
At home, she enjoyed renovating and decorating her house.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her mother's companion, Martin Reimer of Easton; a daughter, Kiana Marie Begel, and her companion, James Simmons, of Lehighton, a son, Bradford Allen Begel Jr., at home; a brother, Brian Johnson, and his wife, Kira, of New Ringgold; two sisters, Chrystal Johnson, and her companion, Mark Miller, of Lehighton, and Candice, wife of Greg Wielgus of Allentown; a grandson, Kaiden James Simmons; and nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Todd Johnson.
Service: Memorial service 11 a.m. Wednes-
day, Dec. 15, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, with the Rev. Dr. Dean Frey officiating. Interment, Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton. Memorial visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

It is still just so unreal. How can such a beautiful soul be taken from this community so soon. You touched many lives & loved your family so much. You spent many years with the booster club cheering & football teams. You had a heart of gold. I will miss seeing you around in stores. You sent me kind words when I lost my dad just as I did for your brother. Now you are back with your brother and other loved ones. You did an amazing job raising your kids. They are hurting but they know you will be watching over them and Kaiden. RIP Sherry, you will always be in many of our hearts.

Sherry I´ve known you for such a long time. From working together with so many great memories at Fisher. I remember you cutting my hair, countless conversations during our carpool to work daily and many fun gatherings. You always lit up the room wherever you were. You were like a big sister to me. So much so that that´s what I called you...Big Sis. I also called you Sher Bear because you were such a caring individual. Your family was always your priority and you were a hard worker. Your energy and heart were amazing and will be greatly missed. I´m so sorry that I won´t be able to make your services, but know I would be there if I lived closer. Big hugs to all your family and may you RIP Big Sis. Heaven has indeed gained another special angel.
