Thomas B. Hosler

Thomas B. Hosler, 61, of Middleport, died suddenly on Friday, May 17, 2024, at home.

Born Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1962, in Coaldale, the son of the late Charles F. and Barbara (Houser) Hosler, and the husband of the late Maribeth (Dodson) Hosler.

Tom was a long-haul truck driver who, like his father and brother, drove not only for a living but because he loved the road and lifestyle.

Tom attended Tamaqua Schools, was a member of the West Penn Rod and Gun Club, and Trinity Lutheran Church of Tamaqua. A "Harley Dude", always wearing a bandana, long sleeve Harley shirt, jeans and riding boots, you knew when Tommy entered the room.

Tom's greatest achievement was that of "Dad." Maribeth passed away when his son was a toddler. Tom provided a loving home, and life which enabled his son to become a terrific young man. Tom loved his son deeply.

Tom was the comedian of the family; he looked forward to family events, and cherished the companionship of his dog, Digg.

Surviving is his son, Thomas Lee Franklin Hosler and his fiancée Morgan Lusch; sisters, Cindy Rascavage wife of "Lenny", Karen Hosler, Holly Breiner wife of Bill; brother, Bud Hosler and his wife Deb. Many nieces and nephews also survive Tom.

In addition to his parents, Tom was also predeceased by his wife, Maribeth (Dodson) Hosler on Jan. 27, 2001.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad St., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening on May 22, 2024, at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday morning on May 23, 2024, at 10 a.m. from Odd Fellows, Tamaqua.
