Wayne L. Whiteman Sr., 81, of S. First St., Lehighton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at Eastwood Healthcare and Rehab Center, Easton.
He was the husband of Kathryn (Brown) Whiteman for 52 years, celebrating their wedding anniversary on Dec. 16, 2020.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Milo and Ethel (Wiltse) Whiteman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He had worked at the former Keystone Lamp, Slatington, Hoffard's Mill, Weissport, and Deer Park Spring Water, New Tripoli, retiring in 1992.
Wayne liked going for walks, fishing, watching cowboy movies and doing word search puzzles. He loved spending time with family and with his beloved cat, Missy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Wayne Whiteman Jr., and wife Cathy, of Andreas, and Eric Whiteman, and wife Tammy, of Lehighton; brother, Milo Whiteman Jr., and wife Kathleen, of Lancaster; a sister, Linda Rehrig of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Dustin Whiteman and Dylan Evans and two other grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother Glenn Whiteman.
