Andrew B. Sr.
Andrew "Andy" Metzger Sr., age 73, of Perrysburg Township passed away on January 9, 2014, at his home. He was born on August 4, 1940, in Toledo to Bernard and Dorothy (DeCant) Metzger. He was a graduate of Olney High School and was
employed with Treu House of Munch in the warehouse
for many years. In Andy's younger years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends and working on the family farm.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte (Van Sickle) Metzger; children, Andy (Shawna) Metzger Jr. and Denice (Mike) McGilvery; grandchildren, Ericka (Josh) Netherland, Kyle Metzger, Stacy Skinner, Andrew James (Kelly) Skinner, and Jody (Gary) Peterman; great-granddaughter, Lexi Peterman; mother-in-law, Mary Van Sickle, and sister- in-law, Nancy Metzger. Andy was preceded in death by
his parents; granddaughter, Cady Skinner; brother, Lawrence Metzger; sister, Dorothy (Ed) Reucher, and father-in-law, Robert Van Sickle.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Sunday, January 12, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. I still think about my best man in my wedding, and school classmate growing up in school, even 6 years after his passing! Andy was a very good man, and is deeply missed by me!!!!!
