Bryce Michael

Bryce Michael "Mike" Hall, 65, died August 11, 2015, at the University of Michigan Hospital after a long battle from complications attributed to handling of Agent Orange during his military service in Vietnam.

He was born November 20, 1949, to Bryce and Edna (Ragan) Hall in Toledo, Ohio. Mike graduated in 1967 from Bedford Public Schools receiving a Certificate of Perfect Attendance. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969, serving in Vietnam with an honorable discharge in 1972. After returning home from military service, he worked with his father in the family business manufacturing and delivering septic tanks and started a concrete company delivering in Michigan and Ohio. He then went on to graduate from the Federal Law Enforcement Academy working for the Justice Department until his retirement. Mike then returned to school receiving his PhD in Computer Science Engineering. He rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized in 2000 by his daughter, Pastor Shanyn Stewart. Mike was gifted with a photographic memory and spoke several languages. He taught the English language while living on the Island of Hainan in the South China Sea throughout his retirement.

While serving in Vietnam, Mike was awarded the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars with Valor, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, 2 OS Bars, Air Medal, Sharpshooters, Good Conduct Award, and Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

He is survived by a daughter, Shanyn Hall Stewart, of Lambertville, Michigan, and sons, Bryce and Shayne Hall, of Ontario, Canada. Mike was a loving "Papa" to Donny and Kathryn Stewart. He is also survived by brothers, Donald (Agripina) Hall of Texas, Richard Hall of Florida, and a sister, Mishelle Hall (Lenny) Noel of Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David Hall, and sister, Vicki Hall Long.

The family will receive family and friends on August 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Maranatha Church and Community Center, 7302 Jackman Rd., Temperance, MI. His interment will take place following visitation at Bedford Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

Mike was a constitutional libertarian who would request, "In lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Hillary Clinton."

So sorry, but: I am very Proud of all of you family members and friends of Bryce Michael "aka: Mike" Hall. Again, so very sorry for your loss! Keep your chins up! I am very proud of him and his comment at the end of his Obituary especially too! We need More good people like Mike with hair on their chest as they say. Good Man Michael.
