Carroll Almroth Obituary
10/21/1933 - 2/5/2021
Carroll John Almroth, known as "Jack", loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, age 87, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, departed this earthly life and entered into the gates of Heaven on February 5, 2021. Acknowledging his faith and witness, we are assured that he is whole, well and alive with our Lord and Savior. He graduated from Lake High School, Millbury, Ohio and attended Toledo University and served as a LakeTownship trustee for 20 years, worked at Sun Oil Company for 18 years, was a Walbridge volunteer fire fighter and served at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as an investigator for the state of Ohio. He built beautiful custom homes in the Knoxville area. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Farragut, TN, where his favorite job was to "meet and greet" the congregation and visitors. Jack was the most loving and joyful man there was, he never knew a stranger and greeted everyone with open arms, friends and strangers alike. He will always be remembered by his welcoming smile, his wonderful laugh, and most importantly, how much he loved the people around him. We rest in knowing he is with his Heavenly Father. As Paul writes in 1 Timothy, "Jack has fought the good fight, Jack has kept the faith, and Jack has finished his race".
He is survived by his lovely wife of 34 years, Leslie Anne Almroth; his children, Mark (Sandy) Almroth of Indiana, Jill (Derk) Jackson of Ohio, Julie Almroth of Tennessee; step-children, John (Christine) McMullen of Michigan, Michael (Jennifer) McMullen of Texas, Michelle (Lee) Rhyne of Tennessee; grandchildren, Derk, Chrissy, Joel, Jennifer, Alissa, Isabella, Cassidy, Melissa, Mike, Brendan, Ian, Quinn, Aiden, Carson; and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Allen Almroth.
Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 10, 2021, at First Concord Baptist Church, the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM with the funeral at 3:30 with the Reverend Edsel West officiating, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934.
