Catherine Watson Obituary

WATSON Mrs. Catherine L. Mrs. Catherine L. Watson, of Toledo, made her heavenly transition on Friday, February 2, 2007, at the age of 93, in The Toledo Hospital. She was born in Dayton OH to the union of Henry and Georgiana Harrison. She was the youngest of three siblings. Herman Harrison and Evelyn Letcher along with her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Watson was a graduate of The Ohio State University, earning her Bachelors and Masters degrees and became an outstanding teacher and mentor. She shared her wealth of knowledge with the children of Columbus, OH over thirty years. She also taught for a year in Portsmouth, OH. She was the widow of Sherman W. Watson with whom she shared her life over 57 years. She resided in East Hampton, NY for twenty two years where she became a member of the Guild Hall; the Power Squadron and the A.A.R.P. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and attended Zion Lutheran Church of Toledo. She is lovingly survived by daughter, Anne (Charles) Johnson; granddaughter, Catherine A. Holmes of Columbus; nephew, Henry Letcher of East Hampton; niece, Rosalind Letcher of Sag Harbor, NY and a host of special and kind friends to include a special recognition to Mrs. Mattie Hamilton and Dr. and Mrs. Warren Palmer. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church, 3360 Nebraska Avenue, where a Family Hour will be at 5 p.m. and Funeral Services to follow at 6 p.m. "Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part...God has you in His keeping... We have you in our hearts" The family request that your tributes be made, in her name, to Zion Lutheran Church. Interment Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2007, alongside her husband, in Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH. The C.
