Diane Kay Studneski

Diane Kay Studneski, age 83, of Jerusalem Township passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Diane was born to Lorne and Wanda (Miller) Davidson on May 1, 1942, in Woodville, Ohio. She was a 1960 graduate of Woodville High School. She married her husband, John, on March 29, 1962. Diane worked at Star & Lil's when she was younger, but was best known for her work as a paraprofessional at Jerusalem Elementary School. "Mrs. S." was known by everyone in the Jerusalem Elementary School family for her loving ways and generous hugs. She retired in 2007 after over 20 years of service. Diane served for a time on the Lucas County Farm Bureau Board and was active in the Ladybug Auxiliary for the Jerusalem Township Fire Department.

Diane is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Studneski; children, Donald (Sue Wolfe) Studneski and Dawn (Evan) Mahaney; granddaughter, Brittany (Jeremy) Woernley; and was affectionately called "Grandma Pickle" by her great-grandchildren, Jack and Vera Kate. Diane is also survived by her brother, Robert (Vonda) Davidson; sister, Debra (Scott) Critten; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jack "Jay" Loar; sister, Patricia Kent; and brother, Glenn Davidson.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, in Oregon, Ohio, on Saturday, June 21, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Oregon City Schools Foundation for the special education department.
