Donna D.
In loving memory of Donna D. Smith, born on March 23, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. She passed suddenly on November 14, 2013, at St. Anne's Hospital. Donna was a life long resident of Toledo, Ohio and enjoyed traveling to her home in Florida. Donna loved to garden, golf, feed the
animals in her backyard, and attend her grandchildren's events. Donna was a very caring, loving, and supporting person, giving freely of herself to others and supporting local charities like The Beach House and Idle Time. Donna was a devoted member of Al-Anon for over 40 years.
Donna is survived by her sister, Lorna Allen of Lawrence Kansas; son, Jeffery Wingate (significant other, Judy Peters), and her adored grandchildren, Alexis, Steven, and Erica Wingate;
as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, Budd and Sterling, and sisters, Dorothy, Nancy, and Susan.
Visitation will be held
at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday at Ansberg-West at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Donna's name to The Beach House, Idle Time or Sunset House.
