Douglas Hart Obituary

Douglas "Doug" Hart

Douglas Skinner Hart played his final round of golf, before retiring to the ultimate fairway on June 24th, 2024. He was 74 years old and is survived by a large and loving family - his mother, three brothers and a sister, two children and their spouses, two granddaughters, and 10 nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his father Walter Hart Jr., who will certainly join him on the eternal green.

Doug was raised in Perrysburg, attended Maumee Valley CDS, graduated from the Taft School in Watertown Ct, and Yale University. After completing his service in the Army, he returned to Toledo and received his law degree from the University of Toledo. After working in Ohio, Doug's career led him to work as a lawyer in the estate divisions at major banks in Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. He remained in Chicago, where he raised his children, and enjoyed many long walks along the lake. Known for his intelligence and charm, Doug will be deeply missed.

A small service was held at Skinner Chapel in Holyoke MA on July 5, 2024. If you have a fond memory of Doug, his family asks that you share it with his children, Molly and Palmer by emailing [email protected].
