I enjoyed our many conversations over the years. You touched my heart in so many ways. You never ceased to amaze me. You drove, you drew me art, you made me laugh. Your positive attitude and sunny disposition inspired me. The world was a better place with you in it.

It was with shock and sadness that we read about Doug's passing last evening. My elderly father in law, Ken, shared a room with Doug when they were both at Heartland in Perrysburg last August for about 5 weeks. Doug meant so much to us. Since Ken was "very confused", each day Doug would give us an update as to what went on with Ken. He was such a great man and we so enjoyed our visits. We talked about a variety of things, but loved talking about food and restaurants. We will always remember him and feel so bad that we didn't read about his passing until later last night and we not able to come and tell you in person what Doug meant to us. Please know that I am praying for you during this time and will never forget Doug.
