Edward Robert
Edward Robert Hojnicki, age 86, died in his home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Born in Toledo on August 23, 1930, to Stanley and Frances (Jozefowicz) Hojnicki. He worked for Libbey Owens Ford for 30 years retiring in 1984.
Edward, also known as “Mr. Miller”, enjoyed wagering on Detroit and Cleveland baseball and football games. He had a good heart and was very generous, always donating to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Louis Helping Hands, Goodwill and St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
Surviving is his sister, Louise Waniewski and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, Sadie Kwiatkowski, Lottie Hojnicki, Leo Hojnicki, Lucille Sitlava, Rosemary Jenkins, Mary Hojnicki, Florence Kanipe and Evelyn Hojnicki.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016, in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424) with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Adalbert/Hedwig Catholic Church where the family will receive visitors starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the church.
