Eileen J. Houck, age 98, of
Toledo, OH passed away
October 7, 2016, at the Elizabeth Scott Community.
Eileen was born July 12, 1918, at the family farm in Blissfield, MI to Stanley and Mary (Thomas) Whitman. Eileen loved the Lord and spoke of him to everyone she met; she loved her family,
enjoyed working with flowers, reading, doing needle work and teaching children.
Eileen is survived by her children, Betty (Dan) Bice and son, Robert (Terrie) Houck; grandchildren, Rob (Kathy) Houck, Jon Houck, Michele (Joe) Camilleri, Brian Houck, and Brent (Alina) Bice; great-grandchildren, Laney, Audrey, Jonathan, Nathan, Sophie Grace, and Joshua. Eileen was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband of 70 years,
Herbert Houck; her parents; and younger sister, Donna Seizert.
Friends may call Thursday, October 13, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 14, at 1 p.m.

Betty, Bob and all the family. We send our loving condolences on the passing on of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
You are greatly blessed to have been nurtured and cared for by this precious sister in the Lord Jesus. Zaida in particular remembers the occasions (although they were few and a long time ago) that she had the opportunity of spending time with Eileen. Every time her assesment was something on the order of "What a precious sister in the Lord! She really loves Jesus." I am sure that many others had the experience of being refreshed and encouraged in the Lord by this precious one.
I am sure that her life has been a challenge to you all to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Surely this is a serious, heavy moment with a sense of loss, but what joy in seeing another faithful slave of the Lord Jesus finishing her course in the earthly race and going to see her Master - Savior face to face with out any veils! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord Jesus!
