I was shocked and saddened to hear that one of my long time friends has passed. Although we hadn't been in touch for a while, we always picked up right where we left off. Eric is one of the sweetest men I know. Full of love, laughter and sincerity and just larger than life. My heart breaks knowing that it will be a while before I see him again. Rest in peace Eric. I love and miss you.

Mary Jane, Tom, Cathy, Craig and Peggy - So very sorry to read of Eric's passing. His picture brought a smile to my face in seeing what a handsome man he turned out to be. Although it's been many years since playing on the streets of Dryden & Burnhman - I will always remember him as the cute little younger brother with the darling smile. RIP Eric and God's strength to your family and loved ones in the days ahead.

I can't even begin to wrap my head around Eric's death. We went to high school together, and lost touch for many years but eventually reconnected through Facebook, and I could tell even from our online exchanges that he was still the same funny, thoughtful and kind person I remembered. His family and life partner are in my thoughts and prayers.

Words can't express what I'm feeling and I'm positive I am not alone. I have many memories of Eric from our grade school and high school days. He made me laugh with his witty sense of humor and always had a kind word or positive note for me. Thinking about him brings a smile, a tear and a very heavy heart. I cannot attend his service but please know I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you strength.

Eric was truly one of a kind. There'll never be another. He was truly one of the most influential people in my life and will be fiercely missed. Taking solace he's in good hands with Wayne, but the hole he leaves behind in all of us, is immeasurable. Continuing prayers and sending love to all.

Tuesday, September 1 was one of the sadest days of my life - One of my dearest friends, Eric Aubry, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Eric was not only one of my dearest friends of more than 20 years, but he was also my boss of almost 4 years.I am numb and in disbelief. Eric was loved by everyone at work - Vectra Visual - where he worked for 20 years. Eric had a huge network of friends - many of us have known one another for decades. He was like a brother to me. My heart goes out to his family, to his partner and my dear friend Dave, and to all friends who share in the grief of his sudden passing. I love you, Eric. Until we meet again, my dear brother!

Mary Jane, Tom, Dave, Craig, Cathy and Peggy,
Joshua and I send our deepest condolences. While we all are saddened by Eric's sudden passing, we all can take solace in the fact that we did indeed have Eric in our lives. He was certainly one of those wonderful, quirky, animated friends that come along once in a lifetime, and we were fortunate to have him around. He is going to sorely missed, and fondly remembered.

I remember a day from childhood with Eric. His inner peace and love for everyone shining through in this exchange among cousins. I was pregnant for Jennifer and I was so excited to become a Mom. We were sitting on the fence (so not allowed!) just he and I on that warm summer afternoon. I told him I wanted to name my baby her after him if it was going to be a girl Erica, and Eric if it was going to be a boy. I don't remember a closer moment. As adults we both remembered, and talked about this at different times. As things turned out, I didn't name her Erica after all, and as life happens we both grew up. Life gets in the way and no one sees each other as often as we would like. Promises made and not enough time to keep those promises. When we were together at reunions or for other reasons it was always like time never passed by. We were kids back on that fence again feeling that bond of closeness. Eric had a gift. It came natural to him to make you feel like anything and everything you did was terrific. I never drove in Columbus, but I always looked forward to his musings about his experiences on the roads there that he would share on FB. Never in my life did I ever imagine I'd one day be without you Eric! I find comfort in the knowledge you are in heaven now. Something tells me the drivers in Columbus drove a little more cautiously and smartly this morning. I find comfort in the fact that although you are gone way too soon; our Heavenly Father called you home quickly and you didn't suffer. We will love and miss you forever Eric.
