Eva Mae (Whitacre)
Eva Mae Matis, 65, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born October 16, 1950, to James and Olive (Hastings) Whitacre in Canton, Ohio. She was an avid quilter and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James and Joseph (Erin) O'Leary, John (Michele) Matis; siblings, Robert (Norma) Robinson, Virgil (Nancy) Robinson, Paul Robinson, Ruth (Butch) Harris, Anna Hazel, Janet Hetman, Janice Robinson, Charles (Cat) Pearson, and Helen Pearson; grandchildren, Matthew, Tolisha and Quinn O'Leary, Bryanna, Marissa, and Amberlee Hunsaker, Aiden-Joseph Matis, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 20, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Children's Leukemia Foundation.
