Fred LISK Obituary

LISK Fred Fred Lisk, 80, of Point Place, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. Fred was born in 1930 to Fred L. and Mary (Korn) Lisk in Toledo, Ohio; both of them have preceded him in death. Fred graduated from Woodward High School in 1948. He served in United States Army during the Korean War; his nation is forever grateful for his service, courage, and sacrifices. Fred returned home to his loving wife, Betty and began their family. Fred went to work for Libbey Owens Ford as a glass cutter and retired in 1988 after 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting for small game, golfing, planting his vegetable garden and maintaining the beauty of his yard. During the late 60's, Fred coached Pee Wee and Colt Baseball; he truly enjoyed coaching and spending time with the children. Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; children, Bruce and Sandra Lisk; and grandchildren, Justin, Paige, and Amber. He was also preceded in death by his son, Fred K. (1974). All services are private. Those wishing to make a contribution in Fred's memory are asked to consider The American Diabetes Association, P.O. BOX 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
