Gail Tedder Obituary
September 11, 1952 - March 21, 2024
Gail Tedder, age 71, of Scranton, SC passed away on March 21, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Gail was born on September 11, 1952, to Harold and Jean (Shepler) Schramm in Toledo, Ohio.
Gail graduated from Bowsher High School in 1970. She then went to the Riverside School of Nursing in Toledo. When she graduated from nursing school, she joined the Army. Gail was a nurse at Darnell Army Hospital at Fort Hood, Texas during the Vietnam era, where she met and married the love of her life John Tedder. After being honorably discharged from the Army she worked as a nurse at Toledo Hospital, and Carolina Hospital. Gail was a nurse for over 30 years.
Gail was a member of the Matthew Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she and husband John were very active members. She loved her Church and its members. Gail's hobbies were tending her flower garden, collecting angels, doing needle point, and dressing her favorite cement goose.
Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, John Tedder of Scranton, SC.; daughter Jennifer Tedder of Scranton; grandchildren, Alan (Megan) Kirby of Union, SC, Alisha Kirby and Destiny Kinard both from Scranton; mother, Jean (Shepler) Schramm of Toledo, Ohio; brother, Jay (Vicki) Schramm of Toledo; sister-in-law, Liz Tedder; 15 nieces and nephews; lots of fun loving cousins; and her very special church family.
Gail was preceded in death by her father, Harold Schramm; grandparents, Virgil and Naomi Shepler, and Albert and Esther Schramm; nephew, Paul McCutcheon; 5 sister-in-laws; and 2 brother-in-laws.
Funeral services were held on March 24, 2024 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, SC. Donations can be made in Gail's name to the Matthew Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 1555, Lake City, SC 29560, or to the M.S. Society P.O. Box 88540, Carol Stream, IL 60188.
