Gregory Lott Obituary

Gregory "Greg" Allen Lott, age 56, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born on January 10, 1965, to William "Billy" Augusta and Helen Laverne Lott in Toledo, Ohio.
Gregory worked proudly as a school driver at Autism Model School on Tremainsville Road for nine years. He was a proud graduate and student athlete for the basketball team at Rogers High School (Class of 1983). He loved sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, The Ohio State football team, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved fishing, The Temptations, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, and spending time with his family.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Lott; two children, Danielle (Danny) Renée Lott, and Sean Gregory Allen Lott; siblings, Bobby, Mark, and Richard Lott.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. at the House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Online condolences and flowers may be shared with the family at www.houseofday.com/memorials.

As nearby neighbors, we were envious of his lawn care, the diligence he gave to its details and maintenance. I even asked if he cut his grass, blade by blade with scissors. What a proud person in family and family, especially his daughter who was a Central grad and Miami University alumnus. So proud was he, when diagnosed with Parkinsons, to even refuse help when I offered. Somehow, we missed his ultimate frailty and his passing. I'm so saddened to learn this. Our sincere prayers of condolences to Deb and kids. Our lives were made better because of his engaging smile and the courage he had in facing his challenges to his death. Rick/Gina
