Jacob "Jake"
Jacob Alan Campbell, age 54, of Toledo passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center. He was born on December 24, 1959 in Washington, PA to Russell and Edna (Stoner) Campbell. Jake worked as a custodian at the University of Toledo. Religion was a big part of Jake's life and he led many bible study groups with his friend, John Rataczak, Ph.D. In his spare time, Jake enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his sisters, Sherry (William) Sebring, Rachael (Charles) Leonard and Bonnie (George Gregoire) Campbell; 4 stepchildren, Heather, James, Raina and Ryan; nieces and nephews, Billy, Lucy, Charlie, Chrissy, Alan and Stephanie and 12 great nieces and nephews. Jake was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Susan (Philquist) Campbell.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Les Feldick Ministries.

Oh my...so sorry to learn of Jake's passing. I remember him as being kind, caring and humerus. I have great memories of our early teen years hanging out in the Weilers. It's an honor to call him my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during these difficult times.

Jake & I were great friends... spent many nights around the campfire talking about God. He was a good man... I am shocked... wish I had known about this earlier. MY sincere condolences to the family.

Thanks to all who helped comfort my precious brother in Christ in his last months, weeks and days. Many don't know but Jake saved my life when we were 16 and I love him for it. He is always going to be in my thoughts. I rejoice in knowing that he's with his beloved wife and Jesus. I will see you again brother

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jake's family and friends. I met Jake several years ago at the University of Toledo. He use to clean the office's in my building. I always loved talking to Jake about his love for music and the many trips he would make to Dearborn MI to visit local R&B establishments. Rest in Peace Jake.
