James J. Jagodzinski, Sr.

5/15/1942 - 9/13/2024

James J. Jagodzinski, Sr., 82, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on September 13, 2024. He was born May 15, 1942 to Felix and Emily (Walczak) Jagodzinski. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired police officer for the city of Archbold, Ohio and injured in the line of duty. James was an avid Ohio State fan and an at large member of the American Legion.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 34 years, Sandra (de Groff) Jagodzinski; his son, James Jr.; his daughter, Tina Jagodzinski; and step-son, Eric (Jackie) de Groff; his sisters, Dolores (Dan) Glass and Eleanor (Ken) Byrne; his brothers, Wade Norman, Patrick Norman and Dennis Norman, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Felicia Skow, Karen de Groff, Patricia Singer, and Felix Jagodzinski, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the American Legion Hall, 2404 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43613 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
