Jerry E.
Jerry E. Roane, 64, of Toledo, OH passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014. Jerry was born to the late Mary Lou Lindsay and Lovie Roane.
Besides Jerry's parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Virgie Lee Hardeman; brother, Ricky Lindsay; cousins, Clint Lindsay and Earl Burke III; mother-in-law, Barbara Cornelius.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Ron'Rica Paige; son, Vincent Roane; niece, Requette Eloi; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; father-in-law, Roy Cornelius; closest friend, Janet Roane; former wife, Terri Roane, and his chosen family.
Jerry was born and raised in Mansfield. One of his strongest attributes was living his life exactly the way he wanted and not letting anyone tell him differently. He enjoyed watching the Lakers and the Steelers and aggravating those close to him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. in the Gasiorowski-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, OH. Visitation will also be held at Providence Baptist Church, 112 W. 6th St., Mansfield, OH on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.

Jerry I'll always remember the first day I met you & Janet @ B/E. Not knowing you both wld be responsible for teaching me all the strength, knowledge & courage that I'd be needing in my days ahead. You were a blessing to my son Isaiah who looked up to you as a father figure, thank you for taking us under your wings of love & now we must stay as you must fly on home.
