John Allen Knaggs

John Allen Knaggs, 68, of Toledo, was entrusted to the grace of God on June 28, 2025. He was born May 22, 1957, in Toledo, to Jack and June Knaggs.

As a young man he was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed riding his bike all over the city. John graduated from Whitmer in 1975. He was on the wresting team and in the electronics program. While at Whitmer, he met Cynthia Knab and would marry in 1976. They would have two children. After working as an electronics technician for AV businesses, he became an electrical engineer at RSW and retired in 2011. He was consumed by electrical and mechanical theory and drawing schematics. John modified every piece of equipment he owned and built his own equipment from scratch. He approached life as an adventure. He was a loyal friend and people will remember his sense of humor, obsession with electronics, love of dogs, grilling, and Sci-Fi.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Cynthia Knaggs; daughter, Tiffany (Charles) Knaggs; son, Nicolai (Heather) Knaggs; grandsons, Alexander and Aiden Lumbrezer; sister, Ann Taylor; brothers-in-law, Thomas and Kenneth (Carol) Knab and family.

Receiving guests Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at Newcomer - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey, Toledo. Services will begin at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations made to Washington Local Schools in care of Whitmer Career and Tech Center, 3505 W. Lincolnshire Blvd, Toledo, OH 43606.
