Joyce
Joyce Henry, 85, died peacefully on May 4, 2016, at Hospice in Perrysburg. Joyce was born in Toledo, Ohio, September 16, 1930, to Clara and Harold VanBarg. She loved her home and really enjoyed being a homemaker and all that went with it. In the summertime her backyard swimming pool was her favorite place to be. She also liked very much to play cards with her longtime friends, Ann and Marv, and any other friends or family who would play. Having all of her family together was always very special and of course, Christmas Eve was always a wonderful time for everyone. Joyce was a big fan of tradition and enjoyed and treasured all of her collectables.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Robert; brother, Dale VanBrarg; her children, Brenda Craig (David), Tim McStay (Cheryl), and Larry Henry; her grandchildren, Andy Craig, Tim McStay, Allison Elsie (Jon), Amy Brumbly (Mike), Alex Henry (Katie) and Kyle Henry (Megan). Joyce also left behind 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Craig.
A celebration of life for Joyce will be held at Ottawa River Yacht Club, 5844 Edgewater Drive on May 11th from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH. Arrangements were entrusted to H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home.
