Judith Sumner Obituary
July 5, 1946 - August 28, 2024
Judith A. "Judy" Sumner (Hulett), 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born July 5, 1946, to Donald A. and Lydia I. (Watson) Hulett in Toledo, Ohio. She was a member of the 1964 Central Catholic High School class. She worked many years and retired from Midwest Tape in Toledo, Ohio.
Judy loved going to the movies, playing euchre or any card game, traveling and anything "Americana"! She was nicknamed "The Traveling Gypsy". NASCAR Racing was also a passion of hers with her sisters, family and friends. Her final resting place was down in Alabama, where she loved her peace and tranquillity on Lay Lake in Shelby, Alabama. One of her biggest accomplishments, proudest moments and what she always lived for was raising her three sons Ray, Don and Steve. She loved being a grandma to six (6). She was happiest when she was with her family or friends. Everyone knew her as "Mom". She did everything she could to always be present for sporting events, holidays or anything that had to do with us. Her memory lives on in her children, Ray (Deana) Sumner, Don Sumner (Becky), Steve (Andrea) Sumner; grandchildren, Dominic, Madelyn, RJ, Andrew, Megan and Lydia; sisters, Donna Shanley, Barbara Kaifas and Lynn Hulett. Special thanks to some important people in our mom's life to Gary and Karen Carlee her Alabama family, and Margaret Eldred her Midwest Tape family.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Eldred Barn, 7135 Providence-Neapolis-Swanton Rd, Swanton, Ohio 43558.
