Kenneth M.
Kenneth M. Maag, age 79 of Toledo, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 3, 2015, with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 10, 1936, in Glandorf, OH to Cyril and Adeline (Bensman) Maag. Ken was owner and operator of Trilby area business Thyerview Barbershop for 53 years. A U.S. Army Veteran, he was a member of the VFW Post 2898, the American Legion Conn-Weissenberger Post 587, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria on March 28, 2015; brother, Donald Maag, and sister, Ruth Mettes. Survivors include his son, Bruce Maag; daughter, Valerie (Michael) Fierek; sister, Joyce (Ron) Klima; grandchildren, Ashley (Luke) Henricks, Wayne (Randi) Fierek, and great-grandchildren, Carson and Grayson Henricks.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church at 10:00 a.m. The Lucas County Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors in Resurrection Cemetery.

Ken is very special to our family. He was our one and only barber. He took great care in cutting the hair of our 6 boys. As some of them grew and moved away, they always stopped by to see Ken when in town. He also gave first time haircuts to our grandsons. We will truly miss him. He was a very dear friend.
