Krista Rose
Krista Rose Craig, 17, of Holland, Ohio, passed away suddenly, August 23, 2012, at her home. She was born on October 14, 1994, in Toledo, Ohio to Clyde E. Craig and Pamela R. Hill-Craig. She attended Springfield High School and attended Penta, looking to pursue a career in nursing.
Krista was a loving and outgoing girl, who had many friends from the numerous local school districts. She enjoyed and played basketball for Springfield High School. She was a member of the Lambertville VFW Ladies Auxiliary #9656, where she helped collect money for the benefit of the local VFW. She was also Poppy Queen for 2 years in a row at the VFW. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She found encouragement from her older brother Eddie, who inspired her to live life to the fullest and never give up. Krista took pride in continually placing on the Honor Roll and being an organ
donor.
Krista is survived by her loving parents, Clyde and Pamela; siblings, Eddie Craig, Michael (Regina) Craig, Toni (Les) Van Dyke, Jeremy (Kendra) Craig, and Theresa (Derek Turner) Craig; grandmother, Wilma Hill; five nephews and three nieces, with one on the way; numerous cousins, and many aunts and uncles. She was unconditionally loved by her special aunt and uncle, Brenda, Jerry and family. She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Mike Hill; grandparents, Clyde and Edna Craig; aunt, Theresa Hill, and beloved cousin, Lindsay Boudreau.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 419-865-8879, where a VFW service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Whiteford Cemetery, Lambertville, Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Krista Craig Memorial Fund, available at any Huntington National Bank. I am so sorry for your loss. I was the bus aide for Theresa and Krista and want to say that Krista was a very sweet and funny girl. I remember when she would try to get away with eating or something on the bus and when I would have to say, Krista now you know you can't do that she would just laugh and just give me that silly look which made me smile. She truely will be missed...
