Larry Bernhard Obituary
Larry D. Bernhard, 82, of Monclova, OH, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Larry was born March 31, 1942, in Toledo, OH, to the late Elmer and Pauline (Ferrenberg) Bernhard.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Monclova, and served 36 years on the Monclova Township Fire / Rescue Department. Larry retired from Johns Manville Plant 07 in Waterville, and was a long-time member of Robert's Chapel Free Methodist, and later Heritage Church of God.
Larry is survived by his children, Kevin (Sheila) Bernhard Sr., Brent Bernhard, Rachel Bernhard (daughter-in-law); grandchildren, Kevin, Todd (Ashley), Zach (Rayeann), Samantha, and Joseph; great-granddaughter, Adeline; lifelong best friend, Ed Tavernier; and his fur baby, Molly.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barb; his parents, Elmer and Pauline (Ferrenberg) Bernhard; his mother-in-law, Marie Sutton; his sons, Todd and Troy.
Visitation will be held at the Heritage Church of God, 3520 Strayer Road, Maumee, OH 43557, on Tuesday, December 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, December 18, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Tonya Kelly officiating. A Firefighter Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17.
Memorial contributions in Larry's honor may be made to Heritage Church of God, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
