Lynn O'Bryant Obituary

Lynn O'Bryant

Lynn O'Bryant, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Lynn was raised in Maumee, Ohio, and was born to John and Myrtle Staffan. She was married to Gary O'Bryant for 45 years. Together they raised three children.

Lynn was a lifelong Maumee Panther (class of '61), where she participated in track and cheerleading. She has now run her last race and performed her last cheer. Lynn cherished her breakfasts with her MHS friends, her shopping trips to Amish and Grand Rapids, Ohio, and watching her children, then grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities.

Lynn is survived by her son, James (Jacquelyn) O'Bryant; her daughter, Jodi O'Bryant; her son, John (Ashlea) O'Bryant; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Lynn is also survived by her sister, Nancy Earle, and her nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary O'Bryant; and her brother, Richard Staffan.

The family will receive guests Friday, November 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral services will begin Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

She was a proud Toledo Police wife and mother, and she remained a member of Retired Toledo Police Officers Association. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Toledo Police Museum.

So sorry for your loss. Your Mom was fun person. WE have had many great times with her.
I have come down with a bad cold so we won't be at the visitation or funeral.

Lynn was a very good friend of my in-laws, Rose and Paul Kurtz and my husband Fred Kurtz. I have met Lynn, and Gary, on a number of occasions. Back on Oct. 21 Lynn texted me that she had cancer and had about 4 months to live. I was shocked to see her obituary in today´s paper. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Lynn was a very special lady and patient. Took care of her and her Gary for many years. Lynn always had a great story to share and we always enjoyed a good laugh. She will be missed for sure.
