Martha Eloise Friday Naples, FL
Martha Eloise Friday was given her angel wings on December 1, 2014. She courageously fought a four year battle with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through her fight with grace and dignity.
Martha was born on February 5, 1929 in Memphis, TN to Ocie and Ollie Swain. The youngest of three children, she had a brother, Everett Swain and a sister, Mildred Swain Ballew, who predeceased her.
After graduating from Treadwell High School she married her sweetheart, Aubrey R. Friday, on July 27th, 1946. Married for 68 years, Martha and Ray raised their two children, Mike and Brenda, in Memphis, TN.
Possessing a true servant's heart, Martha faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking and baking from scratch. She often crocheted, quilted, sewed, and crafted gift items. A woman of faith and the heart of the Friday family, Martha shaped their lives by her Christian values. Some of Martha's favorite things were camping, traveling, reading, singing in the choir, church outreach, and chatting with friends and family.
Her surviving family members include her husband, Aubrey Raymond Friday; son, Mike Friday; niece, Lynne Ballew Paredes; grandchildren, Paige Crespo, Brooke Sykes, Justin Friday, and Jeff, Ray, and Kim Lurry; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at 10:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5th at East Naples Baptist Church, 1697 Shadowlawn Drive, Naples, FL 34112. Interment to follow at Palm Royale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to East Naples Baptist Church in her memory.

Mike, Becky and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Martha. She was always so sweet and upbeat. She will be missed. She is up in heaven now with her maker. We can be sure of that. What a wonderful place to be. Bless all of you. Love, Leslie Herzer
