Matthew Pegish Obituary
Matthew Allen "Matt" Pegish, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2017. He was born to Mark Pegish and Penni (Coughenour) Pelow on October 21, 1985 in Sylvania, Ohio.
Matt was a 2004 graduate of E.L. Bowsher High School, where he played baseball, football and his favorite sport, wrestling. He had the most beautiful smile. Matt loved his family and the brightest part of his life was his son, Isaac. Isaac was his world and his reason for living.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved son, Isaac; parents, Penni and Dan Pelow; siblings, Brett Pegish, Zach Pelow and Bri Pelow; grandma, Phyllis Coughenour (his "favorite lady" whom he loved with all his heart); aunt and uncle, Janice and Joe Stockdale; uncle Ronnie Coughenour; uncle Kevin Pegish; aunt Becky Zilba and a host of cousins and friends; best friend and mother of his son, Amanda Reynolds. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Mark; grandparents, Glen and Evelyn Pegish; grandmother, Marilyn Pelow and grandfather, Ronald Coughenour. Throughout his life Matt always loved his family, including his faithful canine companions, Mamas, Bubba and Bailey Boo.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 3-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions made to Penni Pelow for the Education Fund for Isaac.

I used to work with Matt, and we kept in regular touch since then. He had a huge heart, and would have given the shirt off of his back to help someone. I will really miss talking to him, and also hearing about his 2 favorite people...Isaac, and Grandma! I miss you already, Matt. I doubt I ever told you this, because we always wait till it's too late, but you were a good friend, and I loved you.

I went to school with matt from fifth grade on up. He was a great person, always knew how to make me laugh. We kept in touch after high school. He was an awesome dad. God sure got a good one! You will never be forgotten. I will think of you and miss you every day! My heart goes out to your family. I'm so sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers and thoughts.
