Otto Steiner Obituary
Dr. Otto P. Steiner, 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Otto was born on March 17, 1938 in Toledo to Otto and Eloise (Blankenship) Steiner. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army 5th Division for nine years. Otto was a senior technician at SSOE and an archeologist for 45 years. He was a past president of the Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society and helped start the American Society of Certified Engineering. Otto was a faithful member of Church of Christ.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his children, Paula (Randy) Duquette, Mary (Jim) Harris, Keith Steiner; grandchildren, Jason (Barb) Duquette, Kimberly Harris, Liam Steiner; and step-great-grandchildren, Chloe, Samantha and Bradley.
Otto was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; grandson, Brian Harris; and sister, Daisy.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society.
