Paula Hernandez Obituary

HERNANDEZ

Paula Anita

Paula Anita Hernandez passed away peacefully on May 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 16, 1946, to Esperanza Jauregui in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Waukesha South, Waukesha, WI. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, most importantly she was the best mommy. She taught her daughters to be strong, independent women and emphasized the importance of family. She also taught her grandchildren the true meaning of unconditional love.

She was a proud "Jeepster" and member of U.A.W. Local 12. She retired from Jeep after 22 years. She was an avid Buckeye and Spurs fan. She enjoyed going to the casino/concerts with her niece, Beth and traveling with her sister, Loretta.

Paula was the proud and loving mother of daughters, Rebecca Marie (Lou Sr.) Woody, Raquel Martinez (Charles), and Rubina (Bryan) Haden. She also took extreme pride in her grandchildren, Louis and Jordan Woody, Dylan and Jaidyn Patridge and Alannah Martinez. She is also survived by sister, Loretta (Vincent) Tovar; brother, Pete Jauregui; sister-in-law, Dolores Rodriguez and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and furry companion, Chula.

Preceding Paula in death were her mother, Esperanza Jauregui, and her brothers, Santos Rodriguez II and Jared Jauregui.

Friends are invited to visit from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads), where a Sharing of Memories will be held at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin at 9:20 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., in Blessed Sacrament Church, 4227 Bellevue Road. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Paula was a breast cancer survivor and devoted contributor to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, memorial donations can be made to this charity.

A very special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Mercy St. Charles Hospital for the gentle, loving care they provided to our mommy.
