My brother, Scott and I remember your parents with wonderful childhood memories. Softball in the lot across from your driveway, playing in the creek and eating Mrs.Andrew's home made cookies.
I called Scott (in Colorado) and he recalls your father and our dad going back and forth about UT vs BGSU basketball games...even in July!!
All my best to the Andrew clan.

I have known them since 1971 when they moved in across from me while I was a young man. I have moved numerous times to many states since those days yet I still fish behind their home when I am in town. Sadly, I found out today of their passing. They are good people. I always appreciated having the opportunity to fish next to Ray in the river when I was a teenager staying with my grandparents across the road. He taught me techniques that I continue to use to this day to catch walleye.

Ray was a great friend of my Uncle Coe H. Dickey JR.'s. Also Frazier Reams JR. was a good friend of both Ray and Coe. The 3 of them grew up together. COE and RAY on Algonquin Near Ottawa Park and the Toledo Hospital, Frazier lived a street over. My dad asked Ray to teach me how to lift weights since I was playing football for McKinley Grade School and Ray would come over to our house and show me how to lift weights the correct way in sets of 3 each: rowing, squats, curls, and the Military Press. I was very impressed with his Marine Tattoo (the ball and anchor) my father Glenn Wise, myself, and my Uncle Coe would go to sporting events together, DeVilbiss vs. Libby Thanksgiving Day football games and the Mud Hens and the all city league preview games at Waite before the fall season would start. Ray and his parents lived next door to my grandparents on Algonquin and we lived next to my grandparents. I would take the bus downtown to get my hair cut at the Toledo Barber College. The Andrew family played a great part in my life growing up. I am glad I got to know Ray and Anna. I reconnected with Ray at the University of Toledo Downtown Coaches Luncheon group and would have lunch with him on Mondays for a number of years. They will be missed....Dave Wise
