Dick was my mentor as a colleague at Bedford high school. We collaborated on a program that fostered communication of Bedford students from different walks of life. We called it, "Peer Listening" at BHS.
The focus was to allow students with different cultural backgrounds to be actively engaged in trust-building activities where all stakeholders had a role.
Dick and I also facilitated an intervention program including students who were borderline users of a variety of drugs. Our role was to bolster support and attempt to provide students with positive choices as they move through their years at BHS.
Dick was a great listener and led the forum where students could candidly discuss their concerns, which usually resulted in more favorable decisions that would impact these needy students after they left Bedford.

His caring thoughts and encouraging words will be missed by all.

I do remember Mr. Krell. I had him in class in High School, and I also worked out at his place after I graduated. He was a Great guy. Sure sorry to hear that.
