I knew Richard Saxer when he commanded the Air Force Material Laboratory. We established a $500 million program to harden critical US satellite against directed energy weapons. A brilliant leader with great forsight.

Dick and I played croquet together as children at Lakeside. When we purchased a home on Lake Street in Marblehead, I went down to see him. Told him I was out of the past and had come to haunt him. He called me by name and invited me in to meet his dear wife. We talked about the people we had known as children in Lakeside. He loved being where he could see the lake and could walk into Lakeside. I now live at the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield - moved here from Columbus, and heard that his beloved home is being torn down. How sad! My heart goes out to his family. Martha Tilton Reissig
