Robert L.

Robert L. Kipplen, age 85 years, of Toledo, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility in Holland, OH. He was born in Toledo on February 1, 1929, to Joseph A. and Juanita M. (Grode) Kipplen. Robert married Jeanette M. Wick on September 26, 1949, and together they shared almost 65 years of marriage.

Robert was a sheet metal worker with Local #33 retiring in 1989. Following retirement, he worked for a number of years at Janney's Pro Hardware at Secor and Alexis Roads. Bob enjoyed gardening, building bird houses and feeding the birds in his yard.

Preceded in death by his son, Daniel Kipplen, and daughter-in-law, Ann Kipplen.

Surviving is his wife, Jeanette M. Kipplen and their children, Edward Kipplen, Deborah (Richard) Sabo, and David (Helen) Kipplen; daughter-in-law, Sandy Kipplen; brother, Marvin Kipplen; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, in the Robert H. Wick/Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-535-5840), where the family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 Noon on Friday. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
